Ambassadors Online

"Ambassadors Online" is  an academic enterprise supported by the University of Haifa in fields of public diplomacy and Israel advocacy. The aim of the project is to provide the students with skills to become unofficial ambassadors of Israel in the international arena via internet and other media. "Ambassadors Online" is a pioneering academic project in Israel, combining lectures with practical online workshops. It is supervised by Dr. Eli Avraham, the head of the Comper Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Anti-Semitism and Racism. The project’s staff is entirely made up of students. Ambassadors Online is supported by the Comper Center, Herzl Institute, Dean of students, Isef Foundation and the Student Assosiation.

Ambassadors Online is dedicated to student development, excellence, social skills and leadership. Our goal is to adopt student’s potential, resourcefulness and visionary ambitions to the fields of public diplomacy. Student human resources which is comprised of curiosity, creative thinking, innovative entrepreneurship and reflective capabilities are cultivated and promoted in a rigorous and thorough training process aimed to create a generation of leaders that challenge misconceptions regarding Israel and endeavor to promote Israel in the international arena.

The methodology: The syllabus of the project includes 12 sessions and two study tours. The sessions are conducted on weekly basis. Each session lasts three hours and includes:

  • Theoretical lecture - The lectures provide our students with vast knowledge of media issues, historical background, the peace process and new Anti-Semitism.
  • Practical workshop - The workshops involve practical work performed on-line.
