Aims and Goals of the Institute

Comper Center, established in 2007 by Prof. Arie Kochavi, is an academic center that specializes in the study of new anti-Semitism. The Center is active in creation, education, sharing and integration of knowledge dealing with these phenomena, while contributing to the improvement of public relations and public diplomacy of Israel.

Over the past four years, the Elizabeth and Tony Comper Interdisciplinary Center has promoted numerous activities designed for students, academics, and the larger public. The Comper Center has been active in:

  • Organization of conferences, seminars, and public discussions;
  • Promotion of research among graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students;
  • Establishment of cooperative relations with counterpart organizations in Israel and overseas that are engaged in studying and combating anti-Semitism;
  • Participation in international conferences and dissemination of research;
  • Involvement of students in the battle against anti-Semitism; and
  • Publishing and dissemination of research on anti-Semitism and strategies to combat it.
